The inspection date occurs three years after the pack date, serving as the point when the Military verifies the cases for continued suitability. Manufacturers advise that the meal contents remain good for approximately 5 years or more when stored at room temperature. For extended freshness, storing meals in cooler temperatures is recommended. Always ensure to inspect the red Time Temperature Indicator (TTI) located on top of the case.
